    New Codes: The New Code of Civil Procedure was completed; the procedures for the completion of the New Penal Code and the New Criminal Procedure were drastically accelerate; the completion of the section concerning Individual Companies in New Commercial Law was launched.

JHA Council 3.3.2014, Doorstep Statement by Nikolaos Dendias

"We are going to discuss a proposal for a regulation on the European Agency for Law Enforcement, which is of cardinal importance for the Greek Presidency, but also is very important for Europol and Cepol. We are going to discuss also the migratory trends as well the migratory pressures and also we are going to discuss key issues upon the presentation by the Commission on the field of Justice and Home Affairs. Μigratory pressures, border security, data protection and the European Public Prosecutor on the JHA agenda

The European Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation and Training (Europol), the migratory pressures, operational actions for increasing border security, data protection and the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor's Office are the key issues on the JHA Council that will be held in Brussels on 3-4 March.

17th Meeting of the EU-Russia PPC on Freedom, Security and Justice in Moscow
Progress in the implementation of the EU-Russia Roadmap for the Common Space of Freedom, Security and Justice, visa and migration issues, fight against terrorism and transnational crime, such as illicit drug-trafficking, corruption and trafficking of human beings, access to justice and judicial cooperation were among the issues discussed at the 17th Meeting of the EU-Russia Permanent Partnership Council on Freedom, Security and Justice, which was held in Moscow on 17 January. 
The Hellenic Presidency was represented by the Ministers of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights Charalampos Athanasiou and of Public Order and Citizen Protection, Nikos Dendias.

Presentation of the Hellenic Presidency priorities in the area of migration and asylum by the Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection in the Council of Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs

The Hellenic Presidency will focus its efforts on a European holistic approach and management of the migration policy, with parallel actions to mitigate the consequences in the economic, social and political reality of EU Member-States.
